QUICK! You must feed The Abomination anything you can find to keep it alive!
STORY:
Your weird uncle REALLY has to go to the bathroom, and look... you just so happen to be standing in his way! He frantically tells you about his "abomination" that he has been growing in his basement. He tells you that it moves and must be fed. He seemed very sure that you cannot possibly keep it alive with just the items around the basement, and that items must be combined! He ran off to the bathroom before you could ask what combinations worked, so good luck keeping it alive!
DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS:
You must keep The Abomination alive for 5 full minutes. You can grab objects by pressing and holding the Left Mouse Button or E key (The circle on the center of the screen with fill as you hold the button down). You can drop objects by pressing the Right Mouse Button or F key.
When holding objects, you have a few options: You can drop the item. You can feed the item to the abomination (find The Abomination, then hold the interaction key on The Abomination until the center circle is full). You can combine two objects by using the Combination Table. Hold the interaction key on the Combination Table while holding an object in your hand to add it to the table. Once the table has two items, it will combine them and give you a new object in return. If you follow the instructions on the whiteboard, you will receive helpful combinations, but if you choose to combine objects not listed on the whiteboard, you will end up with harmful combinations.
If The Abomination is no where to be found, it has died. The timer will continue to count down to zero, but you will be presented with a screen reflecting your performance at the end.
It is impossible to keep the Abomination alive for the entire 5 minutes without feeding it combined items. Make sure to manage your time and resources well. There are plenty items around the basement, but never underestimate the speed that The Abomination shrinks!
NOTE FROM DEVELOPER:
This game was made for Ludum Dare 46 (I was 16 years old at the time), and is the first fully functioning game I released. It was really stressful, but it was an incredible experience!
Side Node - Unfortunately, I was unable to create my own music in time, so the music in the game is a mix of some royalty free stuff.
